About the role

The Chief Librarian plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and controls the library's activities

What you'll be doing

• Management: Lead library staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.
• Collection Development: Oversee he selection, acquisition, and management of library materials, including books, digital resources, and multimedia.
• Strategic Plan: Create a strategic plan to meet the needs of library's users, staff and LCIC community
• Budgeting: Develop and manage the library budget
• Policy Development: Establish and enforce library policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and compliance with regulations
• Technology Integration: Implement and maintain library technologies, including cataloging systems, databases, and digital resources
• User Services: Enhance user experience by addressing patron inquiries, providing reference services, and promoting library resources
• Manage Compliance: Ensure that the library complies with minimum standards of requirements in accreditations

What we're looking for

• Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in an academic setting
• Licensed Librarian
