Core responsibilities

  • Demand forecasting and planning:

Analyze past sales data and trends to forecast future material needs and create strategic plans to meet them.
- Inventory management:

Monitor and control inventory levels to meet production schedules and minimum stock requirements, aiming to minimize costs and waste.
- Procurement and ordering:

Place purchase orders for materials and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Supplier coordination:

Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady flow of materials and communicate any issues or changes.
- Production coordination:

Work with production, logistics, and other internal teams to align material availability with the production schedule and requirements.
- Data analysis and reporting:

Track inventory, monitor usage, and prepare reports on material planning activities, costs, and performance.

To interpret forecasts, analyze data, and identify potential issues or cost-saving opportunities.

To effectively coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers.

- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory systems:

Familiarity with material requirements planning (MRP) and other inventory management software is often required.
