Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Financial recording and reporting: Record financial transactions, including sales, loan payments, and amendments; prepare and enter month-end journal entries; and assist in preparing financial statements.
  • Accounts Payable (AP) and Receivable (AR): Process invoices and payments, handle accounts payable processes, and manage the accounts receivable function, including preparing customer invoices.
  • Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile various other accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities and help analyse budget vs. actual variances.
  • Data management: Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting databases; ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Administrative tasks: File receipts, manage company forms, and perform other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Management Accounting, or a related field is required for many roles.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a relevant role, such as General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Bank Reconciliation, is often preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
