Catering Server

Report to: Assistant Catering Manager, Catering Manager

A catering server is responsible for providing excellent service at events by serving food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Event Setup and Breakdown: Assist in preparing the dining area before events and cleaning up afterward, including setting tables and arranging decorations.
• Serving Food and Beverages: Greet guests, and serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring that all dietary restrictions and special requests are accommodated.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the event, anticipating guests' needs and responding to inquiries or concerns.
• Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Sanitation and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring that all food and beverage handling meets safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in Food Service: Previous experience in a catering or food service role is often preferred.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members is essential for providing excellent service.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring that orders are accurate and that the dining area is well-presented is crucial for guest satisfaction.

Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Catering events can be busy, so being able to work efficiently under pressure is important.
