Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering student intern to join our team specializing in jigs and fixture design and machining. The intern will gain hands-on experience in mechanical design, production processes, and quality assurance while supporting engineers in developing precision tooling solutions for manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing jigs, fixtures, and tooling using CAD software (AutoCAD).
  • Support engineers in concept development, prototyping, and testing of fixtures.
  • Participate in manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and assembly.
  • Conduct basic calculations and tolerance analysis to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • Prepare technical drawings, documentation, and reports for ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure fixtures meet safety and performance standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing jigs and fixtures.
  • Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes.

Learning Outcomes

  • Practical exposure to fixture design and manufacturing workflows.
  • Understanding of material selection, machining processes, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience in problem-solving and teamwork in a real-world engineering environment.
  • Development of technical documentation and project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology (3rd or 4th year preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software and mechanical design principles.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, welding, assembly) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Internship Details

  • Duration: 3–6 months (flexible based on academic requirements).
  • Location:Technomotion Building, Industrial Street, Cityland II, Greenbreeze II, Lancaan II, Dasmariñas, 4114, Cavite
  • Compensation: Daily Allowance provided.
  • Reporting to: Senior/ Production Supervisor.
