Main Task

The Cashier ensures smooth and efficient customer transactions by accurately processing sales, handling payments, and maintaining proper documentation of cash and non-cash transactions. This role supports customer satisfaction, sales integrity, and operational efficiency by providing courteous service, safeguarding company assets, and ensuring compliance with cash-handling policies.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Transaction Processing
  • Operate POS systems to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Handle cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers, and other payment methods accurately.
  • Issue receipts and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
  • Customer Service
  • Greet customers and provide courteous assistance during checkout.
  • Address customer inquiries or concerns and escalate issues to supervisors when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Cash Handling & Safekeeping
  • Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Safeguard cash, vouchers, and transaction records in compliance with company policies.
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, or overages immediately to the supervisor.
  • Compliance & Standards
  • Follow company policies on cash handling, refunds, and discounts.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cashier station.
  • Support Functions
  • Assist in bagging, packaging, and handling merchandise.
  • Coordinate with replenishment staff for product availability during checkout.
  • Support store operations during peak hours or special promotions.

Qualifications

  • College level or vocational course graduate; college degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in retail, cashiering, or customer service is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high transaction volumes.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and customer-oriented.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresh graduate

Pay: Php14, Php15,000.00 per month
