Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full recruitment cycle from manpower planning, job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection to onboarding.
- Collaborate with department heads and vessel managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment plans that meet operational timelines.
- Oversee recruitment for both office-based and seafarer roles, ensuring compliance with maritime labor laws, international standards (e.g., MLC 2006), and company policies.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through partnerships with maritime academies, training centers, industry associations, and recruitment agencies.
- Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates in a competitive shipping industry market.
- Manage and analyze recruitment metrics to improve efficiency, quality of hires, and time-to-fill rates.
- Conduct pre-employment checks, background verifications, and ensure required maritime certifications are valid and up to date.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior recruiters or recruitment assistants.
- Represent the company at job fairs, industry events, and recruitment campaigns locally and internationally.
- Stay updated on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and workforce availability within the shipping sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' recruitment experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead recruiter role—preferably in shipping, maritime, or logistics industries.
- Strong understanding of maritime labor requirements, industry regulations, and crewing processes.
- Proven ability to recruit for hard-to-fill and specialized maritime positions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS/ATS systems.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally for recruitment campaigns and events.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to Php100,000.00 per month
