Job Summary:

The Company Nurse is responsible for providing basic healthcare services to employees, administering first aid and emergency treatment, and maintaining compliance with occupational health and safety standards. The role also supports health-related programs and ensures a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:1. Employee Health Care

  • Provide immediate medical attention, first aid, and emergency care to employees in case of accidents or sudden illness at the workplace.
  • Assess employee health complaints and refer them to appropriate medical professionals or facilities when necessary.
  • Monitor and record employee health conditions and recovery progress.

2. Health and Safety Compliance

  • Assist in implementing occupational health and safety programs and policies in compliance with government regulations (e.g., DOLE, OSH standards).
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections and participate in risk assessments.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all medical incidents and reports.

3. Health Monitoring and Record-Keeping

  • Maintain updated medical and health records of all employees.
  • Monitor sick leaves and medical certificates submitted by employees.
  • Prepare monthly health reports and submit them to HR or management.

4. Health Promotion and Education

  • Conduct health awareness campaigns, seminars, and training sessions (e.g., first aid, stress management, ergonomics).
  • Promote wellness programs such as vaccination drives, annual physical exams, and health risk assessments.

5. Administrative Duties

  • Ensure that the clinic is adequately stocked with medicines, supplies, and equipment.
  • Handle medical reimbursements and other related documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • License: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience: Preferably with at least 1 year of experience as a company nurse, clinic nurse, or occupational health practitioner
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training certification preferred
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards
