Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, backhoes, cranes, and dump trucks.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using proper tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment readiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Replace or repair defective parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, pumps, hoses, and electrical components.
  • Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and equipment condition reports.
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns on-site and provide timely solutions to avoid project delays.
  • Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Coordinate with equipment operators, project managers, and supervisors regarding equipment status and repair needs.
  • Order and manage spare parts, tools, and supplies when necessary.
  • Assist in equipment testing and performance checks after repair.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in construction or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostics.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling heavy parts.
  • At least high school graduate; technical/vocational training is an advantage.
  • With strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Willing to work on-site and respond to emergency repairs when needed.
