We are looking for a skilled and motivated Commis 1 to join our kitchen team in a Japanese restaurant. Commis 1 will assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of hygiene and efficiency while supporting the Chef de Partie and overall kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare kitchen stations with all required ingredients and equipment
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of Japanese dishes
• Ensure proper portioning and presentation according to restaurant standards
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and assigned workstations
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas before and after shift
• Implement the FIFO (First In, First Out) method for proper stock rotation
• Follow instructions from senior chefs and work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
• Comply with food safety and sanitation standards at all times

Qualifications:

• At least 6 months of experience as a Commis 1 or kitchen staff is preferred, specifically in a cold station.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and cleanliness
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Willingness to learn and grow within the culinary team
• Flexible to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php16,000.00 per month
