US Senior Auditor

Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior/Manager Auditor with a strong background in PCAOB audits and deep knowledge of US GAAP. The successful candidate will have proven experience leading audits for large accelerated filers and publicly listed companies.
This opportunity is within the firms Quality Control Division, where the focus is on advancing audit methodology, risk-based processes, and compliance with evolving standards. Rather than client-facing work, this role is dedicated to researching new auditing and accounting standards and enhancing the firms overall audit quality framework.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting or any relevant course - Certified
Public Accountant (PH CPA or US CPA) required or in active pursuit. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or corporate finance/accounting roles, with a focus on technical accounting and financial reporting.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and proficiency in interpreting and applying accounting standards to complex transactions and scenarios.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and areas for improvement in financial data and reports.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical accounting concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to upholding ethical standards.
- Amenable to work in a hybrid
work arrangement - Willing to work on a night
shift schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Review new auditing and accounting standards
- Assist in the development of risk based auditing processes
Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with the firm's policies and procedures;
- Conduct comprehensive QC reviews of financial statements, reports, and accounting transactions to ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Perform detailed analyses of complex accounting issues and transactions, providing technical guidance and recommendations to engagement teams.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Firm policies.
- Collaborate closely with engagement teams to address accounting-related challenges.
- Stay updated on emerging accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, evaluating their impact on financial reporting processes and procedures.
- Assist in the development of financial statement disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Contribute to the internal inspection process, including the performance of internal inspection projects and engagements.
- Prepare complex client correspondence including recommendations, technical issues, and proposals;
- Handle and manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects and engagements on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction;
- Completion of tasks/projects in accordance with the defined procedures and within quality parameters with minimal errors;
- Overall successful completion of client engagements including but not limited to compilations, reviews, and compliance;
- Generate reports which identify and address areas of significant risk and evaluate the overall effectiveness of operations;
- Develop an understanding of clients' businesses and aspects of clients' industry;
- Often must lead or participate in a cooperative effort among members of a project team;
- Continual learning of rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA and pronouncements of the FASB and AICPA;
- Maintain the confidential nature of all work papers and information obtained during an audit;
- Meet the billable hours set by the Client;
- Develop positive working relationships with clients as well as with internal co-workers;
- Demonstrate professionalism; and
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary, and ability to work additional hours as needed.
