The AI Integration & Automation Engineer will lead the implementation, configuration, and optimisation of AI-powered voice and automation technologies for our telephony client platform. This role blends AI engineering, workflow automation, and client onboarding — ensuring every customer receives a seamlessly configured, intelligent communications system.

You'll work hands-on with Python, telephony APIs, and voice-to-text models (Re-tell, Deepgram, Netsapiens) while using automation frameworks like n8n to connect, orchestrate, and scale custom AI workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AI System Integration:

  • Implement and connect AI voice solutions using Re-tell and Deepgram for real-time transcription, summarisation, and natural language understanding.

  • Integrate these AI systems into Yabbit's telephony environment (Netsapiens) for automated call handling, routing, and insights.

  • Automation Development:

  • Build and manage process automations using n8n, connecting AI outputs to CRMs, support systems, and client dashboards.

  • Develop reusable workflow templates and ensure they are scalable and secure.

  • Client Customisation & Onboarding:

  • Configure, deploy, and fine-tune solutions for each client's business requirements.

  • Liaise directly with clients to identify automation opportunities and deliver tailored setups.

  • Technical Development:

  • Write and maintain scripts in Python/HTML for system extensions, API calls, and user-facing interfaces.

  • Troubleshoot, test, and document integrations to ensure reliability and accuracy.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor and analyse AI performance metrics to improve model accuracy and system efficiency.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to evaluate new AI and telephony tools.
Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

  • Strong experience in Python, HTML, and REST API integration.
  • Familiarity with AI voice or NLP systems (e.g. Deepgram, Whisper, Re-tell, OpenAI).
  • Experience with telephony platforms (preferably Netsapiens).
  • Proficiency in workflow automation tools (ideally n8n or similar like Zapier/Make).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for client interaction.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of call analytics, CRM integrations, or speech-to-insight workflows.
  • Understanding of VoIP systems, SIP protocols, and AI call assistants.
  • Experience in designing client onboarding flows or automation blueprints.
