Job Title: Accounting Supervisor
Job Summary

The Accounting Supervisor will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support the finance team in maintaining compliance with company policies and government regulations. This role also includes monitoring and reconciling inventory transactions to ensure proper costing and inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Inventory Accounting, and General Ledger.
  • Oversee inventory recording, costing, and reconciliation of inventory accounts.
  • Coordinate with warehouse or operations teams to validate stock counts, investigate variances, and ensure accurate inventory reporting.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of financial documents, transactions, and reports.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely completion of bank reconciliations and account reconciliations, including inventory-related entries.
  • Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, including inventory control procedures.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate junior accounting staff.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflow efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
  • Handle other finance-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license is an advantage but not required (optional depending on your need).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years relevant accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of inventory accounting, costing, and reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting standards, and Philippine taxation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
