Seamstress

POSITION SUMMARY:

In accordance with the policies, procedures and standards of Melco Resorts Leisure (PHP) Corporation, the position is responsible to minor repair of staff uniforms and oversees the correct fit and measure of staff uniform fittings and liaises with Supervisor, Wardrobe regarding examination and quality checks of manufactured uniforms to ensure quality construction and fabric suitability.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repairs of staff uniform and oversees the correct/proper fit and measure of new and existing staff uniform fittings.
• Ensures that the operations within the Wardrobe Seamstress area operate efficiently and professionally by constantly producing quality workmanship and maintain a harmonious working environment.
• Maintains a professional working relationship within the Wardrobe Department and with all fellow employees.
• Utilizes specialized skills maintaining a high standard of production and continuity.
• Inspects uniform items regularly and at random to determine mending, altering or replacement requirements.
• Maintains computer system, recording daily duties performed i.e., alterations, damaged stock, uniform construction, etc.
• Recycles damaged uniform items to assist Wardrobe supplies i.e., logos, buttons, zips, re-useable fabrics, etc.
• Adheres to all Company policies and procedures.
• Reports accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors. Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

• 1 year working experience with minimum 6 month in entry position in a Seamstress/Tailor position

Skills / Competencies

• Ability to communicate in English communication
• Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
• Ability to work on overtime when needed
• Exposure and/or knowledge of Garment design and construction, Pattern Drafting, Cutting,Trade Equipment operations
