The Senior Technical Engineer serves as a subject matter expert, bridging the gap between client needs and technical solutions. You'll lead investigations, mentor peers, and contribute to product enhancements while ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This role demands deep technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and the ability to work independently in high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical lead in resolving complex client issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions
- Reproduce and analyze reported problems in Finastra environments, conducting root cause analysis and delivering innovative fixes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resolution and continuous improvement
- Participate in client meetings to accelerate issue resolution and maintain strong relationships
- Validate defect fixes and contribute to quality assurance and beta testing efforts
- Develop scripts, technical documentation, and best practices to support internal and client teams
- Escalate critical issues and provide strategic input to leadership and product teams
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business IT, or a related field
- Extensive experience in C/C++, with strong debugging skills across platforms (Visual Studio, Solaris Studio, Eclipse)
- Proficiency in SQL, Java, and C#
- Solid understanding of Solaris, Linux, and advanced expertise in Windows OS. Familiarity with JMS (ActiveMQ) and Tomcat is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English—both written and verbal
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a customer-first approach
- Proven ability to work independently and lead within a collaborative, client-facing environment
