Performance Monitoring Analyst

(a) Performance monitoring and evaluation of operational and financial matters for the current year-to-date and outlook to ensure that the site meets its performance targets through engagement of relevant stakeholders and use of insight from analytics;

(b) generating analysis of gathered data in order to provide inputs to business scenarios to support decision-making.

(c) analyzing actual vs planned revenue, expenses, and capital expenditure items of the facilities to identify factors that may influence the ability of the site to meet its performance target, ensure that budget targets are met and any revisions or returns are reviewed and processed in a timely manner;

(d) pointing out potential areas of vulnerability and risk, investigate current and potential issues inclusive of internal controls (compliance to policies, procedures and standards/ provides guidance and assistance to site operations)  that will impact on the company bottom-line and provide financial impact or proposed solutions; and,

(e) ensuring timely submission of site financial and operational information and compliance with corporate ethics and internal controls in all aspects of business operations.

This requires an understanding of both the business objectives and goals, domain expertise, as well as a good grasp of operational processes and group interactions. It also requires strong soft skills with a focus on communication.  He/she is a key business partner and can work with various stakeholders regardless of rank to execute their strategy and plans.  This position requires strong technical and analytical skills as any misstatement or erroneous information on actual results or outlook may result in incorrect management decisions.

He/she may be assigned, for any or combination of the following:

• Supports the Chief Finance Officer ("CFO") in ad hoc projects and any other matters as required;
• Support analytics and business intelligence development (reports, dashboard, visualization); and,
• Ensures the timely preparation of performance management reports (including Balance Score Cards, Business Reviews, etc.), both regular and ad hoc requirements, that serve as basis for monitoring and controlling the budget utilization and execution of approved work programs, and in management's decision-making

*Policy and Strategy*

• Contributes in the identification of opportunities for continuous process improvements and suggest solutions and system enhancements so the site can operate in an efficient and cost-effective manner;
• Proactive involvement in process simplification and standardization, quality improvement and cost minimization of processes;
• Assist in the enforcement of corporate policies and recommends improvements as needed;

• Contributes in the planning, development and implementation of the site's work program as aligned to the company BSC;

• Works closely with other department SPOCs to ensure best possible communication and interaction between processes ensuring complete capture and analysis of financial information; and,

• Collaborates with the other Finance divisions to support overall Finance goals and objectives

*Operational*

• Monitors overall site performance on a regular basis to ensure that targets are met and corrective actions are suggested when needed;
• Coordinates with external partners of Finance, and discusses and recommends improvement in the processes to ensure speedy and accurate delivery of services to internal EDC Group of Companies;
• Contributes in the creation of a system or a process that can help manage the site's financial resources;
• Coordinates with the site on operational and financial performance key metrics and works with the Business Analytics & Systems Support team to build the necessary analytics;
• Provides diagnostics on the financial impact of proposed solutions on company bottom-line and points out potential areas of vulnerability and risk; and,
• Generate analysis of gathered data in order to provide inputs to business scenarios to support decision-making.
