Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary:

The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport, load, and unload materials such as soil, sand, gravel, asphalt, or construction debris. The role requires adherence to safety standards, traffic regulations, and company policies to ensure efficient and secure delivery of materials to and from construction sites.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate dump trucks to transport materials to and from construction sites.
  • Load and unload materials safely and accurately.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water before and after operation.
  • Perform basic maintenance checks and report mechanical issues to the supervisor.
  • Follow designated routes and schedules in line with project requirements.
  • Comply with all traffic rules, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the truck.
  • Assist with other site-related tasks when needed.

Qualifications:

  • At least High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with appropriate restriction code for heavy vehicles (e.g., Professional Driver's License, RC 8).
  • Proven experience as a dump truck or heavy vehicle driver.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Physically fit and able to work in various weather and site conditions.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, safety awareness, and reliability.

Working Conditions:

  • Field-based, assigned to construction and project sites.
  • Monday to Saturday work schedule (or as required by project).
  • Exposure to outdoor environments, heavy equipment, and construction activities.
