Overview

Cro Metrics is a leading growth marketing agency that helps clients drive measurable business impact through experimentation and data-driven decision-making.

We're seeking a Web Analyst to join our Data Analytics team and help our clients unlock the power of their digital data. In this role, you'll leverage quantitative data to uncover actionable insights, troubleshoot tracking or data parity issues, and configure analytics systems to ensure clean, accurate, and comprehensive data collection.

You'll work across a variety of analytics platforms — most commonly Google Analytics — as well as other tools like Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, and more. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Growth Strategy, Experimentation, and Engineering, to improve clients' analytics infrastructure and drive smarter, data-backed marketing and product decisions.

What Success Looks Like
  • Clients have confidence in their analytics data and can use it to make informed, high-impact decisions.
  • Insights and reporting from the Web Analyst directly influence optimization strategies and measurable business outcomes.
  • The Web Analyst is seen as a go-to partner for uncovering opportunities through data and improving the integrity of clients' analytics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Insights
  • Analyze website and marketing performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and insights that inform optimization and experimentation strategies.
  • Build compelling reports and data visualizations using Google Analytics and Looker Studio (Data Studio) to effectively communicate findings.
  • Create, analyze, and interpret conversion funnels by audience segment to reveal opportunities for growth.

Analytics Configuration & Data Governance
  • Configure analytics tools for maximum accuracy and value, including tag management, custom dimensions, and event tracking.
  • Audit and troubleshoot analytics implementations to resolve data parity and consistency issues.
  • Ensure strong data governance practices and documentation across platforms and clients.
  • Support integration with tools such as Google Tag Manager, Segment, Tealium, and other analytics platforms.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Data Analytics Manager and Experimentation teams to ensure accurate tracking of A/B and multivariate tests.
  • Partner with Growth Strategy and Business Development teams to align analysis with client goals and KPIs.
  • Supplement quantitative findings with market research or third-party data sources when available.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Work Set-up: Work-From-Home.
  • Shift Schedule: Will primarily follow PST (Pacific Standard Time), generally working 8 AM - 5 PM PST.
Flexibility: Monday to Friday flexible hours may be available after a probationary period.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Web Analytics experience. A background in marketing is highly helpful.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics (GA/GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Looker Studio. Strong familiarity (or proficiency) with other platforms like Adobe Analytics, Heap, or Amplitude is a significant plus, as we are platform agnostic.
  • Proven ability to analyze marketing performance data and apply a general understanding of how digital marketing works across channels (e.g., paid media, social, search).
  • Experience configuring analytics tools for event tracking, custom metrics, and advanced tagging.
  • Proven ability to create clear, insightful visualizations and dashboards that drive understanding and action.
  • Applied knowledge of conversion funnel analysis, inbound channel attribution, and A/B testing analytics.
  • Must be proactive, tech-savvy, and open-minded toward tackling complex data challenges.
  • Experience with clients in Retail/E-commerce or B2B sectors is a strong advantage.
  • Strong ability to distill complex data into concise, meaningful insights for internal and client stakeholders, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
