Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and present high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
  • Develop new and creative dessert recipes and seasonal menu items.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all pastry products.
  • Oversee daily production schedules to meet customer and business demands.
  • Supervise, train, and guide junior bakers and pastry assistants.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, manage ingredient requisitions, and minimize wastage.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor and control food costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Stay updated on current pastry trends, techniques, and ingredients.

Qualifications:
  • Proven work experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role.
  • Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and flavor pairings.
  • Creativity and passion for developing new pastry items.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
