Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and present high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
- Develop new and creative dessert recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all pastry products.
- Oversee daily production schedules to meet customer and business demands.
- Supervise, train, and guide junior bakers and pastry assistants.
- Maintain proper inventory levels, manage ingredient requisitions, and minimize wastage.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor and control food costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Stay updated on current pastry trends, techniques, and ingredients.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role.
- Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and flavor pairings.
- Creativity and passion for developing new pastry items.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
