3D Generalist

Overview

We are seeking a talented and versatile
3D Generalist
to join our creative team. The ideal candidate is a multi-disciplinary artist with strong technical and artistic skills across modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, and rendering. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working across the full 3D pipeline and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

●     Create high-quality 3D assets including models, textures, rigs, animations, lighting, and renders.

●     Collaborate with directors, designers, and other artists to translate creative concepts into visually compelling 3D content.

●     Work across the entire 3D pipeline: concept to final render.

●     Optimize assets for performance while maintaining artistic integrity.

●     Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges related to 3D production.

●     Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and workflows.

●     Ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet production standards.

Qualifications

●     Proven experience as a
3D Generalist
in film, animation, VFX, gaming, or related industries.

●     Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, or Houdini.

●     Strong skills in texturing and shading (Substance Painter, Mari, Photoshop).

●     Solid understanding of lighting, rendering, and compositing (Arnold, Redshift, V-Ray, or Unreal Engine).

●     Knowledge of rigging and character animation principles is a plus.

●     Ability to adapt to different art styles and project requirements.

●     Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

●     Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

●     Experience with real-time rendering engines (Unreal Engine, Unity).

●     Familiarity with pipeline tools and version control (Shotgun, Perforce, Git).

●     Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects (After Effects, Nuke).

●     Scripting abilities (Python, MEL, or equivalent) to automate workflows.
