Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data pipelines and data workflows that ensure seamless data processing and accessibility.
  • Use Tableau, Business Objects (BO), and SQL to design and maintain data visualizations and dashboards for various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and product managers, to ensure complete and accurate data reporting.
  • Apply Python for scripting, automating tasks, and building efficient solutions to enhance data processing workflows.
  • Work with machine learning algorithms and tools to provide actionable insights from large datasets (nice-to-have).
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and other data-driven tools to enable informed decision-making across business units.
  • Optimize and query large datasets using Snowflake, SQL Server, or DB2 to support business operations and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct data validation, regression testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and accuracy of data in reports.
  • Implement data quality checks and resolve issues related to data discrepancies, performance, and consistency.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders based on data insights and analysis.
  • Continuously improve data processes, applying best practices for data governance and quality.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and promoting best practices for data analysis and visualization.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Data Visualization Tools:

  2. Strong experience with Tableau, Business Objects (BO), and SQL for developing insightful data visualizations and reports.

  3. Data Engineering and Analysis:

  4. Experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and ensuring data integrity across platforms.

  5. Databases:

  6. Expertise in working with SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, DB2, Snowflake).

Nice-to-Have Skills & Qualifications (Maximum of 3):

  1. Python:

  2. Knowledge of Python for automating data workflows and scripting for data processing.

  3. Machine Learning:

  4. Experience applying machine learning techniques to solve business problems and improve decision-making processes.

  5. Cloud Databases:

  6. Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based database solutions to support scalable data storage and analysis.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and at least one data visualization tool (Tableau or Business Objects).
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data integration, and data transformations.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred but not required).
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
