Job Description: Facilities Supervisor
Position Overview
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of the organization's facilities. This role ensures that all building systems, equipment, and assets are maintained to high standards, while coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the facilities and maintenance team.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance programs are implemented and completed on time.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify safety, repair, and maintenance needs.
- Oversee building systems such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and security systems.
- Manage contractors and vendors for repairs, renovations, and specialized services.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, service reports, and asset inventory.
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and procurement of supplies and equipment.
- Support space planning, office moves, and fit-out projects when necessary.
- Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies or urgent requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or supervisory role.
- Safety officer Certification
- Knowledgeable in Auto-CAD application
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
- Good leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an advantage.
