Research Scientist

Job Summary:

We're looking for a Research Scientist to lead innovation and support the development of new personal care products. This role involves research, formulation, technology sourcing, and continuous product improvement to ensure competitive, high-quality, and cost-efficient product solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Innovation & Research:

• Lead new product development through formulation and process design
• Conduct research on emerging technologies, patents, and competitive products

Formulation & Testing:

• Develop prototypes and conduct experiments to assess feasibility
• Source and evaluate raw materials
• Support plant trials, validation runs, and scale-up activities

Documentation & Compliance:

• Prepare technical documents for PIF and FDA registration
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Technical Services

Product Improvement:

• Propose innovations and evaluate alternative raw materials
• Support marketing with data for product claims and substantiations

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related fields
• Preferably with a professional license (e.g., Chemist, Chemical Technician)

Experience:

• 1–2 years in product development or R&D, preferably in cosmetics or personal care

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong background in formulation and lab procedures
• Good analytical, presentation, and communication skills
• Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams
• FMCG experience is a plus
