About the role

As an Accounting Supervisor (Tax Accountant / Compliance Officer) at FRÁSEC Ventures Corporation, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's tax compliance and reporting processes. This full-time role in Minglanilla Cebu is crucial in ensuring the organisation meets all its taxation obligations and maintains accurate financial records.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and filing accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, value-added tax, and other applicable taxes
  2. Reviewing and analysing tax legislation and rulings to ensure the company's compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
  3. Providing expert advice and guidance to the finance team and other departments on tax-related matters
  4. Liaising with tax authorities and representing the company in any tax audits or inquiries
  5. Developing and implementing efficient tax planning strategies to minimise the company's tax liabilities
  6. Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support the company's tax positions
  7. Supervising and training junior members of the accounting team on tax-related procedures and best practices

What we're looking for

  1. 5+ years of experience in taxation and compliance, preferably within a large or complex organisation
  2. Thorough understanding of Philippine tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify tax risks and opportunities
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve objectives
  6. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent
