Part-Time Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – 5-10 Hours/Week

Reports To: Senior Manager

Rate: 10, ,000 per month, depending on experience

About the Role

We are looking for a highly reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time CPA who can manage our financial reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements as we scale from a small team to our first 100 employees.

This role is ideal for a CPA who is comfortable working with a lean team, setting up proper financial documentation, and ensuring full compliance with Philippine laws.

Key Responsibilities
1. Tax Compliance & Regulatory Filings

  • Prepare and file all monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR returns, including:

  • 2551Q / 2550M

  • 1601C, 1601EQ
  • 1604CF
  • Annual ITR (1702)
  • Ensure accurate withholding tax calculations and remittances.
  • Ensure compliance with SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG contributions and posting.
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready documentation.
2. Financial Reporting & Bookkeeping
  • Maintain and update the general ledger.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation.

  • Prepare monthly Financial Statements:

  • Profit & Loss

  • Balance Sheet
  • Cash Flow
  • Monitor expenses and ensure proper categorization.
  • Assist in budgeting, projections, and cash flow monitoring.
3. Payroll Support (Review Only)
  • Review monthly payroll runs prepared by HR.
  • Validate statutory deductions and payroll tax computations.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with PH regulations.
4. Year-End & AFS Preparation
  • Prepare schedules and financials required for the annual audit.
  • Coordinate with external auditor (if applicable).
  • Support Annual ITR and SEC submissions (GIS, AFS).
5. Internal Finance Systems Setup
  • Help design and maintain internal controls suitable for a growing startup.
  • Ensure compliance with finance-related policies.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for financial processes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, audit, or tax.
  • Strong knowledge of BIR policies and PH tax compliance.
  • Experience working with startups, SMEs, or BPO companies is an advantage.

  • Proficient in:

  • Excel/Google Sheets

  • Basic accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with payroll systems and statutory filings.
  • Familiarity with BPO industry requirements is a plus.
  • Ability to explain accounting and tax matters clearly to non-CPAs.
  • Comfortable setting up scalable financial processes from scratch.
