POSITION OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Officer is responsible for safe and efficient management of the storage facilities. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, ensuring an efficient warehouse operation in achieving business targets. This role is responsible in handling physical inventory and warehouse management: receiving, sorting, taking inventory, verifying stocks condition, and identifying damaged goods, keeping records, distribution of stocks availability. The employee is responsible to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of finished products; to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(The listed duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following key areas and performance indicators
1. WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT AND INVENTORY CONTROL
Maintains inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items
Configures warehouses to have formal storage locations that identify the row, rack section, level, and shelf location, typically with a location barcode or label.
Inspects product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
Performs daily inventory checking, stocks monitoring concerning availability and keeps products to be delivered in good condition
Monitors inventory status of the finished goods daily, such as critical stocks and the movements of stocks
Monitors inventory levels and reconciles physical inventories with records
Assists with inventory accuracy by cross checking products and informing management of any discrepancies
Monitors and maintains accurate inventory count and helps prepare inventory report per month
Check all outgoing stocks to ensure that they are in good condition and make sure that all documents are accurately signed for proper documentation
Lead special projects critical to warehouse support functions
Performs stock alignments as necessary to improve inventory performance and accuracy
Stores the products in proper places in warehouse
Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets skids or lifting device
Establish and ensures that policies, KPIs, monitoring, reporting systems and procedures are followed
2. INVENTORY AND ORDER MANAGEMENT
Performs monthly forecasting with Local Sales
Preparation and processing of orders in coordination with Billing, Logistics, and Sales Department
Analysis of inventory level and consumption
Monitors processes for accuracy and efficiency
Preparation of shipping documents: prepare commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading
Reports inbound and shipped orders to appropriate stakeholders and 3PL dispatcher
Develop initiatives and reporting to reduce slow moving inventories and to improve turns of problematic SKUs
Monitors and records inventory transfer transactions from (warehouse) to (warehouse)
3. WAREHOUSE INVENTORY AND STORAGE
Conducts daily cycle count for finished goods inventory and ensure to update the inventory monitoring file
Monitors and submits regular report on FG aging. Near to expiration products should be reported immediately.
Monitors FG condition during the conduct of the physical daily count
Ensures that all incoming FG are correct in type and quantity for an accurate warehouse inventory
Mindful of giving feedback on any discrepancies in FG receiving
Ensures that all FG movements in the warehouse are properly documented
Conducts weekly recon of FG inventory physical vs system
Ensures first in first out inventory for FG stocks
Ensures finished goods storage are within SCPA warehousing standards
Daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to meet warehouse targets
4. WORKPLACE SAFETY
Maintains a safe work environment/warehouse and ensures that all company safety procedures are followed and are in line with OSH guidelines
Maintains clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, upholding clean supply area in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations of SCPA
Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and place in proper containers or designated areas
5. PEOPLE LEADERSHIP
Effectively communicate with the team on a regular basis to make them aware of their priorities, targets and operational requirements/tasks
Creates plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads
Report progress updates, key achievements and any concerns to the Manager
