Job Description:
The Roving Assistant is responsible in providing operational support to the Branch Business Group Unit through acting as a reliever of a Branch Staff in functions such as Policy Issuance.
The duties and responsibilities of Roving Assistant may include, but are not limited to the following:
A. Policy Issuance
- Processes requests for issuance of policy and quotation.
- Ensures policies issued are complying to the Company's Underwriting Guidelines.
- Ensures that policies are delivered to insureds or intermediaries within the turn- around-time.
- Maintains copies of policies for the branch's reference;
- Prepares reports such as, but not limited to, Renewal Persistency and Monthly Production.
- Conducts monthly post-review of agency-written business (applicable for Branches with writing agents).
B. Cashier
- Act as a reliever of the Branch Cashier as needed.
- Post Audit Branch Cashier operation at least 1 to 2 branches per month.
- Checking and monitoring the following: a. Cash Advances and Liquidation b. Checking Fund Replenishment Report
- Post Audit the provisional receipts of the branches
- Prepares Audit Report and memo pertaining to lapses and findings
- Provide assistance and guidance to Branch Cashiers
- As a reliever for Branch Cashier, act as Check Signatory as needed
- As a reliever for Branch Cashier, analyzes statement of accounts of brokers and agents and prepares reports for receivable meeting.
- Conduct training of new Branch Cashier
C .If not acting as reliever, the Roving Assistant is responsible for the branchs' underwriting and assist in monitoring branch compliance on finances (including collection of premiums) procedures and guidelines all all other related branches services.
D. Performs other duties as may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field.
- Must be literate in Modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment and related spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation applications.
- Experience in the same position and/or in Non-Life Insurance is an advantage.
- With above-average verbal and written communication skills
