About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled QA Coder Auditor to join our healthcare coding team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality in medical coding audits, with a focus on inpatient cases and specialty areas.


What You'll Do
  • Conduct detailed audits of inpatient coding specialties, including transplant cases.
  • Assess coding accuracy and compliance with official coding guidelines.
  • Provide clear rationale, supporting references, and actionable recommendations.

  • Utilize industry-recognized standards such as:

  • ICD-10-CM & ICD-10-PCS Official Guidelines for Coding & Reporting

  • AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding
  • AHIMA Practice Guidelines
  • Collaborate with coding teams to maintain the highest standards of quality.

Qualifications

Active PHRN License

Active CCS or CIC Certification

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Medical Allied field (Advanced degrees/certifications preferred)

5 years of experience in inpatient coding (with multiple specialties)

1 year experience in transplant coding

1 year experience as a Quality Auditor
