Position Overview:

The Product Planning Specialist plays a critical role in shaping the company's automotive product portfolio by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. This position ensures that vehicle models, trims, and features are aligned with market demand, sales objectives, and the company's long-term strategy. The role requires a balance of analytical, strategic, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Product Strategy & Planning

  2. Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, competitive landscape, and product opportunities.

  3. Support in defining product positioning, pricing strategies, and lifecycle management.
  4. Recommend new vehicle models, trims, or features based on market analysis and feedback.
  5. Assist in developing long-term product roadmaps aligned with company strategy.
  6. Coordinate with marketing, sales, and aftersales to integrate customer feedback into product planning.
  7. Ensure product features, specifications, and pricing are competitive in the local market.

2.Market and Sales Analysis

  • Monitor competitor models, features, and pricing strategies.
  • Analyze sales performance, product profitability, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to management for decision-making.

3.Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop product launch strategies and communication plans.
  • Support sales teams with product knowledge, training materials, and product comparisons.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and production teams on product availability and demand forecasting.

4.Product Lifecycle Management

  • Track vehicle model lifecycles, including introductions, refreshes, and discontinuations.
