Thomson Reuters is seeking an Editor, Tax Current Awareness with tax/business/accountancy/financial background or work experience to write and edit current awareness content for US tax, accounting, and legal professionals.The Editor, Tax Current Awareness will author timely articles analyzing developments from US tax and accounting regulatos and contribute to other products updates related to US individual taxation.

About The Role
In this opportunity, as an Editor, Tax Current Awareness, you will:

  • Research, write and edit high-quality articles daily.
  • Create, update, and enhance data for US individual income tax products.
  • Prioritize concurrent projects to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Analyze and anticipate the interests of a targeted professional audience.
  • Identify key regulatory, administrative, and transactional documents.
  • Work with colleagues and other departments globally to foster company goals.

About You
You're a fit for the role of Editor, Tax Current Awareness, if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or another related field such as Tax, Commerce, Business, or Finance.
  • Recent experience related to taxation and accountancy or U.S. individual income tax preparation.
  • Intermediate to highly proficient in Excel, including use of complex formulas and pivot tables.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) is welcome but not required.
  • Experience in publishing, news, or other writing environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with Associated Press style.
  • Experience using online research platforms.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Ability to adapt and change quickly to meet the needs of ongoing responsibilities and emerging projects.
