Chemistry Physics Teacher

We're looking for a
Curriculum Developer
with a passion for inquiry-based learning and a knack for turning complex scientific ideas into engaging, classroom-ready materials.

What You'll Do

• Author Curriculum Content
• Craft clear, student-friendly lessons and teacher guidance grounded in real-world chemistry applications (starting with pain-relief medicines).
• Adapt & Scaffold Lab Experiences
• Refine lab protocols to align with storyline pacing, incorporate safety guidance, support data analysis, and flex across 1–2 week mini-implementations or full unit timelines.
• Develop Instructional Resources
• Build high-impact slide decks, graphic organizers, assessments, and pacing tools to support diverse teaching models.
• Ensure Standards Alignment
• Align every activity with NGSS Performance Expectations, 3D Learning dimensions, and AP Chemistry CED where applicable. Create traceable alignment documents.
• Iterate Collaboratively
• Work with our editorial team to refine drafts based on pilot testing, user feedback, and usability data.

What You Bring

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Education, or related field
• PhD or M.S is also preferred
• Minimum 3 years' experience developing secondary-level science curriculum
• Proven ability to turn lab experiences into coherent storylines and hands-on inquiry sequences
• Expertise in NGSS design and familiarity with AP Chemistry course goals
• Skilled in integrating direct instruction, guided inquiry/POGIL, and rich lab data
• Exceptional science writing skills and pedagogical clarity
• Proficiency in Google Workspace tools and collaborative authoring environment
