Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Java development, including expertise in Java SE/EE, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), and RESTful APIs
  • Proven experience managing and leading development teams (preferably small to mid-sized teams)
  • Familiarity with modern development tools and practices (e.g., version control, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum)
  • Proven ability to mentor junior to mid-level developers and manage performance within a team
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to work on a full onsite work set up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Manage Development Team: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to a team of Java developers. Set clear goals, conduct regular 1:1s, and support their professional development.
  • Technical Leadership: Architect, design, and develop robust, scalable Java applications while ensuring the team follows best practices.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product managers, QA, DevOps, etc.) to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Code Quality and Reviews: Ensure that all code adheres to industry standards by reviewing and providing constructive feedback during code reviews.
  • People Development: Empower team members by creating growth opportunities and ensuring they are equipped with the resources to succeed.
  • Performance Management: Set performance expectations and evaluate team progress against project goals. Provide guidance and support to enhance team productivity and performance.
  • Project Delivery: Oversee the execution of key projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery with quality results.
  • Problem Solving & Innovation: Identify and resolve bottlenecks or issues within the team or codebase. Champion best practices, innovation, and continual improvement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php90, Php100,000.00 per month
