Role Summary:

An Integration Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining healthcare data integration solutions using HL7 standards and the Mirth Connect platform. This role involves building robust message flows between clinical systems, ensuring seamless interoperability across healthcare applications, and collaborating with technical and clinical teams in an agile environment to deliver scalable integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement HL7 message interfaces (ADT, SIU, MFN, DFT, ORU) using Mirth Connect to enable real-time data exchange between healthcare systems
  • Develop custom transformations, filters, and routing logic within integration channels to meet clinical workflow requirements.
  • Build and optimise database queries and procedures using SQL/PostgreSQL to support integration workflows and data validation.
  • Develop backend integration components and services using C# and .NET F.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement monitoring solutions to ensure high system availability

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare integration or software development with a focus on HL7 standards and message structure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Mirth Connect integration engine, including channel development, transformation, and deployment.
  • Proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL for database integration, querying, and stored procedure development.
  • Solid programming skills in C# and .NET framework for building integration services and APIs
    • Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and system integration patterns.
  • C++ experience is advantageous.
  • FHIR knowledge and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies are beneficial
