About the Role

We are an Australian company seeking a skilled and dedicated Remote Electrical Engineer based in the Philippines to join our team. The successful candidate will work on electrical engineering projects, providing technical expertise and support across various domains, including design, implementation, and project coordination.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions aligned with our business goals, supporting projects remotely for our Australian clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Design and Documentation:

  • Develop electrical system designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
  • Prepare construction documentation and specifications for electrical installations.
  • Design power distribution systems, lighting layouts, and control systems.
  • Conduct load calculations and ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards.
  • Utilize tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar software.

Project Management Support:

  • Collaborate with the Australian team to plan and manage project timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers as needed for project execution.
  • Prepare project status reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Technical Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct electrical system analyses to identify potential issues or inefficiencies.
  • Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering assessments.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with Australian standards and project requirements.

Service and Support:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing electrical systems.
  • Assist in the maintenance and optimization of electrical infrastructure.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure all designs and implementations comply with Australian wiring rules (AS/NZS 3000) and other relevant standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Required Skills and QualificationsEducation:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering design and project coordination.
  • Experience working with Australian standards (or willingness to learn).
  • Proven ability to work independently and remotely.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in software like AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools like ETAP or PowerFactory.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Experience with project management tools like MS Project or equivalent.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
