The Quality Control/Quantity Surveyor is responsible for ensuring that construction work meets the required quality standards and for managing project costs through accurate measurement and valuation of work. In addition, this role may involve providing technical input and modifications to designs within specific constraints and under the direction of senior design professionals. This role involves inspecting materials and workmanship, verifying compliance with specifications, and preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and progress reports. The role is specialized by discipline: Civil, Structural, and Architectural, or MEPS. These positions report to the Project Manager.

AUTHORITIES:

  1. Inspect materials and workmanship for compliance with specifications.

  2. Identify and report non-conforming work.

  3. Recommend corrective actions.

  4. Approve completed work, subject to project specifications.

  5. Measure and quantify work completed.

  6. Prepare interim payment valuations.

  7. Assess the cost impact of variations.

  8. Verify subcontractor invoices.

  9. Request information from contractors and subcontractors.

  10. Attend site meetings related to quality and cost.

  11. Make minor design modifications under the supervision of a senior designer/engineer.

  12. Suggest design changes to improve constructability or reduce costs (subject to approval).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for the design and conceptualization of the projects.

  2. Conduct regular inspections of materials and workmanship on-site.

  3. Verify that work is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, and building codes.

  4. Document inspections and prepare quality control reports.

  5. Identify and report any defects or deficiencies.

  6. Monitor testing of materials and equipment.

  7. Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.

  8. Prepare cost estimates and bills of quantities.

  9. Measure and value work completed for interim payments.

  10. Evaluate the cost impact of design changes and variations.

  11. Prepare cost reports and forecasts.

  12. Verify subcontractor invoices and claims.

  13. Maintain accurate records of inspections, measurements, and valuations.

  14. Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.

  15. Ensure compliance with company quality and cost control procedures.

  16. Provide technical input to design development.

  17. Modify designs to address constructability issues.

  18. Suggest design alternatives to reduce costs.

  19. Ensure design modifications comply with codes and regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php13, Php15,000.00 per month
