Overview of the Role

This is a specialist role and will work closely with the Financial Planner to formulate suitable advice strategies for advice clients. The Experienced Paraplanner is a back office (not client-facing) support for Advisers, to work on the formulation of advice strategies for hand off to paraplanning for advice creation.

Main duties include:

  • Reviewing the File Notes provided by the planner, transcribing from audio recording.
  • Reviewing the Fact Find for completeness and entering into Financial Planning Software
  • Pre-flight audit of the Advice file (to ensure all information has been provided)
  • Reviewing the research provided on existing products
  • Preparing Product Cost Comparisons/Quotes
  • Financial Modelling of current and recommended positions
  • Formulating preliminary Strategy Paper (BID) for approval by the adviser
  • Prepare Paraplanning submissions for SOA creation or in some cases producing the advice document.
  • Updating workflow and systems as directed by clients
  • Creates a wider range of advice formulation strategies including more complex and comprehensive advice.

Successful applicants should:

  • Graduate of Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering or any related course
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Paraplanning.
  • Advanced Diploma of Paraplanning and training on XPLAN
