Job Overview: We're seeking a sharp, proactive, and detail-driven Financial Controller to lead the financial operations that power our national growth. This role will manage core accounting functions, oversee franchisee financial inflows (royalties, tech fees, marketing fund), run our franchisee machine rental program with Nayax, and support commissions and forecasting. The ideal candidate is both a systems-thinker and executor, capable of building infrastructure while getting into the weeds.

Key Responsibilities:

Franchise Finance Operations

  • Track and collect monthly franchisee royalties, tech fees, and brand fund contributions
  • Manage Nayax machine rental program billing, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Ensure accurate cash flow from franchisees, flagging delays or errors

Bookkeeping & Compliance

  • Oversee AP/AR and monthly bookkeeping (QuickBooks Online)
  • Reconcile all accounts and produce monthly financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

Commissions & Compensation

  • Prepare monthly commission payouts for operating partners and sales reps
  • Track machine-level and franchise-level performance for payout accuracy

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Own the Pod Plug financial model and update quarterly forecasts
  • Generate P&L analyses, cash flow projections, and unit economics insights
  • Assist CEO with capital raise financials and investor reporting

Process & Systems Management

  • Maintain and improve internal systems for financial tracking and reporting
  • Collaborate with Operations & Franchise teams to align on financial goals
  • Create SOPs for repeatable finance tasks and reporting

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in accounting/financial management, preferably in franchise or multi-unit business
  • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or similar (CPA preferred)
  • Expertise in QuickBooks Online, Excel/Sheets, and financial modeling
  • Strong understanding of franchise finance: royalties, brand funds, tech fees
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
