Job Description The Staff Accountant position is a key accounting role, supporting the Revenue Manager with a range of accounting duties, including a strong emphasis on accounts receivable and general ledger accounting. We are a growing company and looking for the right person to take ownership as we move forward.To be successful, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong financial analysis skills, and significant experience in Excel. The ideal applicant is detail -oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently. Responsibilities:Daily monitoring of accounts receivable inbox(es) across companiesServe as point of support/contact for both customers and sales staffMaintain customer aging and collectionsUnderstand and track the collections module in IntacctProcess and apply customer payments dailySend invoices via the order entry systemManage delayed billingsProvide analysis reports as requested to assist sales teamsCreate and maintain deferred revenue schedulesUnderstand contract and complex billing for different revenue sourcesPrepare month -end journal entries related to revenue and accounts receivablePerform monthly cash account reconciliationsAssist in year -end audit and financial reporting processesAssist with various month -end tasks and account analysisOther duties as assigned RequirementsQualifications:At least 1–2 years of accounting experiencePrior experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or other ERP systemsBachelor's or Associate's Degree in business or accounting preferredProficiency with Google Docs, Gmail, MS Word, and Microsoft OutlookIntermediate Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to prioritize and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracyWillingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
