We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Writer & Data Analyst with deep expertise in skin biology, dermatological research, or related fields. This hybrid role supports the scientific, strategic, and commercial goals of the company by generating high-quality written materials and performing rigorous data analysis for presentation.
The ideal candidate combines strong research experience in skin, excellent scientific communication skills, and hands-on proficiency with key data analysis tools. They will work closely with the Project Manager and Business Development team, while reporting directly to the C-Suite.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Scientific Writing & Communication (approx. 50%)
Develop high-impact scientific content including:
· Grant applications
· Manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
· Technical reports and white papers
· Conference abstracts and posters
· Scientific marketing material
· LinkedIn posts and thought-leadership pieces
· Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging, and accurate narratives tailored to scientific, business, and general audiences.
· Support BD team with scientifically grounded materials for partners, prospects, and investors.
Data Analysis & Research Support (approx. 50%)
Analyze experimental data from skin research projects using:
· ImageJ/Fiji for image-based quantification
· Origin, Prism, or comparable scientific graphing/statistics software
· Statistical tools (R, Python, Prism, etc. — proficiency in at least one required)
· Prepare publication-ready figures, plots, and statistical summaries.
· Collaborate with R&D teams to interpret results, refine study design, and improve data workflows.
· Maintain rigorous data organization, documentation, and reproducibility practices.
Required Qualifications
· Proven research experience in skin, skin models, dermatological biology, or related translational research
· Demonstrated experience with:
o Image analysis using ImageJ/Fiji
o Scientific graphing and data analysis software (Origin, Prism, etc.)
o Standard statistical methods and best practices
o Strong publication or grant writing record; examples may be requested.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor tone and depth across audiences.
o Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
· Advanced degree desired: PhD or MSc in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Dermatology, Skin Biology, Tissue Engineering, or a closely related field.
· Experience with human skin explants, synthetic skin models, or ex vivo assays.
· Familiarity with regulatory/scientific documentation for industry partners or funding agencies.
· Experience writing content for marketing channels (e.g., LinkedIn, website, presentations).
· Comfort working in a fast-paced, growing biotech environment.

Requirement:
· Have a stable internet connection, at least 150mbps and have a backup connection of 100mbps.
· A conducive working environment at home. Must be away from noisy background and any kind of distraction.
· Amenable to working on shifting schedules, overtime, and during PH holidays. (Work schedules will depend on the local timezone of the US and the UK Client.) Occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed to maintain project momentum.
