Technical Writer

****This role is a 3 month fixed term contract****

Platinum Outsourcing is an award winning, Australian owned and managed co sourcing BPO – operating out of both the Philippines and Indonesia. We are a fast growing scale-up, opening our first offices in the Philippines only 4.5 years ago (and growing to 200+ employees in that time).

We have plans to expand to 500+ employees over the next 3 years.

You will have a minimum 3 years experience as an Technical Writer

Our client is third generation family owned and operated business. They provide a wide range of products to the sporting industry including to bricks and mortar retail stores, suppliers to schools and clubs and online entrepreneurs selling sporting goods on the world wide web.

Key Responsibilities:

• Information Extraction: Proactively shadow and interview team members to capture processes without disrupting their daily workflow.
• Process Mapping: Translate complex, variable workflows into clear visual flowcharts (LucidChart/Visio) and decision trees.
• Documentation: Author clear, jargon-free SOPs, user guides, and policies that act as a "single source of truth."
• System Implementation: Help implement a knowledge management system (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, or Notion) that is searchable and easy to update.
• Review & Refine: Identify gaps or bottlenecks in our current processes while documenting them—you are the fresh set of eyes we need.

About You

• You are a "Finisher": You don't wait for information to come to you; you go get it. You can take a half-finished thought bubble and turn it into a procedure.
• Experience: 3+ years in Technical Writing, Business Process Analysis, or Instructional Design. Experience in Ecommerce, Logistics, or Supply Chain is a massive plus.
• The Toolkit: Proficient in process mapping tools (Visio, LucidChart) and documentation platforms (Confluence, Notion, IT Glue, or similar).
• The "Variable" Mindset: You are comfortable documenting processes that don't follow a straight line. You know how to document "If this, then that" scenarios clearly.
