Position Overview

The Chief Planner is responsible for leading the overall planning, scheduling, and progress control of all company projects. This role ensures that project timelines, resources, and deliverables are effectively planned, monitored, and aligned with strategic objectives. The Chief Planner works closely with project directors, construction managers, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure timely and cost-efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and oversee master project schedules for multiple projects using planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • Establish planning standards, methodologies, and reporting frameworks across all projects.
  • Review and approve baseline schedules, revisions, and recovery plans.
  • Ensure alignment between construction sequences, procurement schedules, and manpower planning.

Project Controls & Monitoring

  • Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays or risks.
  • Analyze schedule variances and recommend corrective or acceleration measures.
  • Lead preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports for management.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of changes, revisions, and claims-related records.

Leadership & Coordination

  • Manage and mentor planners, planning engineers, and project planning officers.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Procurement, and Finance.
  • Participate in management meetings to provide schedule insights and forecasts.
  • Support project directors in decision-making using data-driven planning analysis.

Risk & Recovery Planning

  • Identify critical path activities and schedule risks early.
  • Develop mitigation and recovery plans for delayed or high-risk activities.
  • Support extension-of-time (EOT) analysis and planning documentation.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Establish planning systems, templates, and dashboards for consistency.
  • Implement best practices in project controls and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Civil Engineer
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Strong background in construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
  • Proficient in MS Project, Primavera P6, and advanced Excel.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php80, Php100,000.00 per month
