Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Appian Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of complex business processes using the Bank's automation platforms. This role requires deep expertise in Appian and a strong understanding of scalable, enterprise-wide solutions. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams, serve as the technical lead for engagements, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust BPM applications using Appian.
  • Serve as Technical Lead on highly complex development projects and major bug fixes.
  • Evaluate user requests for low-code solutions and determine feasibility, scope, timelines, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Drive technical planning and estimation, including the development of basis-of-estimates and action plans.
  • Conduct architecture and code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation (e.g., design specs, test plans, user guides).
  • Mentor junior Appian and Low-Code Developers and provide technical leadership.
  • Identify platform improvement areas and work with Platform Architects to address them.
  • Ensure timely project delivery with high-quality outputs and maintain compliance with security, performance, and coding standards.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Appian development experience in large-scale, enterprise implementations.
  • Strong command of Appian architecture, including process design, data modeling, rule engines, integrations, and UI.
  • Proficiency with Appian tools: Appian Designer, SAIL, Records, and Rules.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL) and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience in Appian integration using web services, REST APIs, and external system connectors.
  • Strong adherence to software engineering best practices, including version control, unit testing, and code reviews.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Java and Appian plugin development.
  • Appian Developer Certification or other relevant certifications.
  • Exposure to automation platforms or digital process automation frameworks beyond Appian.
