Job Title: Junior Veterinarian
Location: Qualivets Veterinary Clinic – Silang & Tagaytay Branches
Job Purpose
To provide high-quality veterinary medical care and assist in maintaining the clinic's standard of excellence, aligned with Qualivets' mission, vision, and goals. The Junior Veterinarian will support senior doctors, handle routine consultations, and ensure client satisfaction while continuously improving professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
Perform routine physical exams, preventive care, vaccinations, deworming, and basic medical treatments.
- Assist in diagnostics (CBC, blood chemistry, rapid tests, fecalysis, imaging, etc.) and ensure accurate recording of results.
- Administer injectable medications (antibiotics, vitamins, anti-inflammatories) during consultations
- Support senior vets in surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care.
- Provide proper documentation of all consultations, treatments, and procedures.
Client Education & Relations
Educate clients about proper pet care, preventive measures, and treatment plans.
- Answer basic inquiries regarding patient care, always upholding professional and compassionate communication.
- Encourage follow-up visits and promote recommended services or products for better pet health.
Billing & Records
Ensure all procedures, diagnostics, and medications are billed accurately
- Maintain updated and detailed patient medical records.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with Senior Veterinarians, Veterinary Assistants, and Receptionists to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Mentor and guide junior staff in restraining techniques, preparation of materials, and safe handling of pets.
Professional Growth
Stay updated with advancements in veterinary medicine by attending webinars, seminars, and conferences.
- Participate in case discussions with colleagues and read veterinary literature to improve skills.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Must be a licensed veterinarian in the Philippines.
- Fresh graduates or those with up to 2 years of experience are welcome.
- Passionate about animal health and welfare, with a strong desire to learn.
