About the Role:

This role will work closely alongside the Finance Team Lead, with a focus on supporting the business in meeting its year-end financial management and reporting obligations. The position also provides real-time financial support and analysis, acting as a trusted advisor to the business and adding value through informed decision-making and driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Month-end & Year-end Reporting

  • Oversee the processing, review, clean-up, and other relevant adjustments of revenue and COGS entries and procedures within NetSuite and supporting systems.
  • Investigate accuracy and provide necessary adjustments to monthly gross margin results for assigned profit centers.
  • Process all other allocated monthly journals for Australia and New Zealand entities within agreed timeframes.
  • Complete allocated monthly reconciliations for Australia and New Zealand with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Complete requests and prepare data for external auditors within agreed timelines.
  • Provide support for inventory reporting and stocktake processes.
  • Assist with other ad hoc analysis and reporting requirements.

Processing

  • Regularly monitor the company's progress on scheduled job completions.
  • Review stock movements and prepayments.
  • Monitor account coding on supplier bills.
  • Prepare and review data analysis for specific partner agreements.
  • Produce documentation on company processes progressively.
  • Assist in reviewing processes and make recommendations for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Assist with accounts receivable and payable processes to ensure all invoices are processed accurately and within agreed policies.
  • Support the accountant with bank reconciliations as required.

Requirements

Mandatory

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience as a qualified CPA or equivalent
  • Experience with NetSuite is essential

Desirable

  • Experience in organisations with multiple revenue streams and models
  • Proven experience with inventory management demonstrating strong financial controls
  • Demonstrated strength in monthly financial reporting
  • Sound understanding of International Accounting Standards, with a strong preference for Australian Accounting Standards
  • Experience with Simpro is a plus
  • Ability to work in unstructured environments
  • Excellent communication, both oral and written, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across local and remote locations
  • Demonstrated initiative, ability to work under limited direction, strong teamwork and collaboration
  • Excellent organisational skills, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount
  • Ability to regularly identify and implement process improvements
  • Someone who models company values and contributes positively to the culture
