BASIC FUNCTION

  1. Responsible for ensuring the company meet its objectives of researching and developing new products and improving existing products to meet consumers' needs and remain competitive in the market.
  2. Assures quality and safety products and processes by establishing and enforcing policies and standards, testing materials and products.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Direct R&D program across all phases from idea conceptualization and proposal, product formulations, process procedures, standardization, yield, product costing from experimental trials up to commercialization.
  2. Develop and monitor research plans and budgets for R&D projects ensuring they are completed on time and within cost objectives.
  3. Safeguard the confidentiality of product formulation by establishing system for information handling and record keeping.
  4. Develop and review food safety and quality policies and manage audits by customers and third-party inspectors.
  5. Maintains product quality by establishing and enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures in coordination with other members of the management team.
  6. Direct and monitor compliance with regulatory agencies laws regarding food safety and quality standards for consumer protection.
  7. Interface with regulatory agencies in compliance with food laws and plant audits.
  8. Establishes quality standards and inspection procedures:

a. Raw materials

b. Supplier approval and evaluation

c. In-process product

d. Disposition of finished products

e. Rework

f. Documentation system

  1. Performs other duties as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Educational Attainment : Bachelors' degree in Food Technology/Nutrition or any related course

2.  Work Experiences : With 8-10 years experience in food industry, preferably with 4-6 years proven experience in product development and quality assurance management in a meat processing company

  1. Training/Skills Required : Strong culinary inclination, innovative and creative.

Technically equipped and abreast with latest manufacturing trends and technologies for continuous process improvement.

Knowledgeable on all government laws and Safety regulations. Knowledgeable on industry's GMP, HACCP,

HALAL and FSSC V6 standards and regulations.
