Kitchen Helper

The Kitchen Helper assists chefs and cooks in food preparation and kitchen operations. This role ensures cleanliness, proper organization, and smooth workflow in the kitchen by handling basic food prep, washing dishes, and maintaining hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in basic food preparation (washing, peeling, cutting, portioning ingredients).
• Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, and kitchen areas.
• Ensure proper storage of food supplies and maintain stock organization.
• Dispose of waste and follow proper sanitation guidelines.
• Assist cooks and chefs with tasks as needed during busy service hours.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, floors, and surfaces to meet hygiene and safety standards.
• Unload and organize deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
• Experience as a Kitchen Helper, Dishwasher, or similar role is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift moderately heavy items.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
