Job Description

InfraShield Labs (recently spun off from UMS Group) is seeking a passionate and creative full stack developer/programmer to join our .NET team in Manila. The Software Developer will perform programming and help provide the overall technical vision/direction for applications that help utilities optimize value, manage risk, and predict system needs. Our solutions are driving performance improvement and leadership in the global energy transition.

The programming team supports our existing global user base and develops new applications and functionalities. The team works closely with management staff in the US. Although our programming team has been operating for 8 years, this position affords a unique opportunity to work in an exciting start-up type environment with an established product portfolio and client base, with opportunities for significant contribution and to truly make an impact on the applications and processes.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Key team member along with 7+ other programmers (including Senior Manager), helping to manage daily work and delivery schedules.
  • Help provide technical vision and direction for the development, design, and systems integration for application development and client engagement from definition phase through implementation.
  • Apply significant knowledge of IT/software industry trends and developments to improve application.
  • Perform analysis, design, and development of our applications utilizing primarily C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, MVC, JavaScript, JQuery, SyncFusion, and Oracle.
  • Develop software programs and features based on design documents and adhering to industry standards.
  • Engage with clients for installation support and re-installation/issue support.
  • Recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions.
  • Support marketing in terms of answering technical / IT questions.
  • Perform unit testing of software.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and mentorship.
  • Participate in a daily status call with US Team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering preferred
  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience with C#, ASP.NET,ADO.NET, MVC, JavaScript, JQuery, Oracle queries and stored proc development
  • Excellent English communication skills - spoken and written
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Experience:

  • SyncFusion
  • Systems Integration, such as web services, APIs, flat file
  • UX Design
  • Creating/managing msi installation packages
  • Atlassian Jira

Work Environment:

  • The workday is from 1 PM – 10 PM (Philippine Time)
  • Remote/'Work from home' majority of the time, but space to work in the office is provided if preferred by employees
  • May report in person once a week or less, and as needed for important meetings & corporate activities
  • Ability to handle pressure and work overtime during peak project periods
