Job Summary:

The Galley Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the galley (kitchen) and aboard a vessel. This includes supervising food preparation, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, managing inventory, and ensuring all meals and goods are delivered in all areas at the expected time. The Galley Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the crew and/or passengers are provided with nutritious, well-prepared meals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities in the galley, including food preparation, cooking, and storage.

  • Ensure all meals are prepared according to menu standards and food safety protocols.

  • Enforce cleanliness and sanitation practices in compliance health regulations.

  • DTR count for food (land base and sea base)

  • Preparation of Turn over slip to all outgoing food (sea and land base)

  • Monitor galley inventory, order supplies as needed, and manage food cost control and waste reduction.

  • Accurate daily monitoring of measurements (meat and other condiments)

  • Processing of requisition (land and sea based) and monitoring of food delivery updates

  • Train, guide, and evaluate galley staff in food handling procedures, safety, and hygiene.

  • Conduct routine inspections of galley equipment and facilities to ensure functionality and cleanliness.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and maintenance needs.

  • Ensure the execution of weekly menu

  • Optimize utilization of space allocation in refrigerators for efficient use

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable and non-perishable items.

  • Weekly report (Cost per head, total cost per week, quantity of food)

  • In charge in menu and additional task given by management head.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php18, Php19,000.00 per month
