We're Hiring: External Affairs Officer (Advertising & Promotions)

About the Role

The External Affairs Officer (Advertising & Promo) plays a key role in shaping and managing MDH's market perception. By implementing impactful brand communications, media relations, and promotional campaigns, the Officer ensures MDH remains highly visible and top-of-mind across multiple platforms.

This role is perfect for a strategic communicator who can blend creativity with analytical thinking to elevate brand awareness and drive meaningful engagement.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Advertising & Public Relations

  • Develop and execute advertising strategies aligned with corporate objectives across:
  • Digital platforms
  • Tri-media (TV, radio, print)
  • Billboards
  • Other innovative channels
  • Submit monthly advertising and PR plans with analysis of reach, media values, and market penetration.
  • Implement regular PR activities such as interviews, press tours, and media meetings

2. Promotions

  • Launch impactful campaigns for MDH's flagship services.
  • Highlight corporate strengths and milestones across diverse platforms.
  • Build and nurture brand advocates and loyalists.

Job Specifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, Journalism, Creative Writing, Web Publishing, or any related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–4 years in corporate communications.
  • Media contacts strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry is a definite advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong ability to craft press releases, manage web publishing, and create marketing collaterals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Publisher, or equivalent design software.
