About the role

Philblanc Company, a leading manufacturer in the Philippines, is seeking a skilled Purchaser to join our team in Davao City, Davao del Sur. As a Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement and inventory processes that support our manufacturing operations. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic success of our company.

What you'll be doing

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms and pricing
  • Forecast, order and maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials, components and other supplies
  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to optimise purchasing and inventory management
  • Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions as needed
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement strategies to enhance efficiency
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing activities
  • Support the continuous improvement of purchasing policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimise purchasing and inventory management
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and ERP systems
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field
